Acne is a major problem for so many people that desperation inspires people to look feverishly for the next great acne product. The search for acne relief is literally ongoing 24 hours a day 365 days a year for thousands of people. People hate acne so bad that they will pay whatever the cost for the latest advertised product. I really wanted to say that people will do whatever it takes to get rid of acne but that is not true. People would rather spend their money on an acne product first then learn about acne never. I don’t get it. Ask someone that is suffering from acne if they know what causes acne. Listen to their response. They don’t know.
Getting rid of acne is a learning process. You really need to read a few acne books, visit some acne blogs or forums, and just learn everything you can about acne before you start buying another miracle drug. There are so many practical ways that anyone can learn to get rid of acne without having to spend money on the latest fad product that will have marginal results at best. Once you buy a product you will have to become addicted to using it in order to keep your skin clear. Once you stop buying the product, the acne returns. It doesn’t have to be that way. There is big money in peddling acne products because people are lazy and don’t want to learn practical trues to easily understand and help their acne condition.
Acne can be fixed naturally and manually without the need for expensive products but because people are basically lazy this makes room for acne manufacturers to make huge profits. They develop average products and market them in the high end price range. These products are also loaded with preservatives (basically for shelf life) that we don’t know anything about. But do we care? We should care because we don’t know what those ingredients are capable of.
Arbonne is still the latest buzzword for skin care. They are boasting that their products are pure, safe, and beneficial. They say their products are pure Swiss skin care. Is this true? You be the judge. I’ve read many Arbonne skincare reviews that expressed peoples love for their products and I’ve read Arbonne skincare reviews that gave some negative comments too. How do we test products without having to purchase them? My suggestion is read the ingredients label to test any product before you buy it. You don’t have to buy a product to know if it will work on you. Again, you test their products by reading their ingredients label. Please do not allow yourself to get hyped about an advertisement. Become a reader of product labels and also a comparison shopper. If you compare two different brands and they both have the same ingredients, why should the more expensive brand perform differently on you?
Another thing to consider when buying acne products is take every ingredient that is on these product labels and research it. What are scientists and doctors saying about those ingredients? What have magazines and the media mentioned about those ingredients. Are they safe?
Listen, I have a free detox ebook that lists every ingredient found in major skin care and cosmetic products. It lists in detail what health risks or benefits those ingredients have on the human body. Take the time to educate yourself about product label ingredients so you will know what you are buying without having to buy it first. Once you educate yourself on ingredient labels you will do like I did. I scoured through my bathroom looking for every product I’ve purchased before and read the labels. There are many products I will never buy again because of the ingredients they have in them. I threw a lot of deodorants, toothpastes, mouthwash, and other things away. I started buying more organic products without all those preservatives. Read my free ebook and you will see my point.

Great article. You are right. Much of Acne medication - especially Over The Counter products - is more marketing than science.
Arbonne does make some products that are unique that I am particularly fond of. One, for example, is a product designed for hair loss. We have written about one clever way that we incorporate it into our hair loss regimen on our blog.
