If you are in a desperate need to get rid of an embarrassing zit that popped up on the scene out of nowhere and you are not sure if anything will help, well with a little effort there are a few things you can try. Step two: Apply benzoyl peroxide (it should be refrigerated before using) to the infected areas of your face. You can be liberal with spreading it out over your face. Step three: Place a cold pack on the infected area for approximately 10 minutes. The cold pack cools your face while opening your pores. This also causes the blood vessels to shrink further allowing the penetration of the benzoyl application. As the blood vessels begin to shrink due to the cold, the body reacts and begins to send extra blood vessels to the inflamed area to warm it again. As extra blood vessels are sent of course we all know blood carries extra white blood cells that will help to fight off infection and help in the curing process.
